Latest CLPA white paper explores how TSN can level up manufacturing

The CC-Link Partner Association (CLPA) has published a new white paper that examines the real-world benefits that Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN) can deliver to businesses in the manufacturing and processing sectors. Available for free on eu.cc-link.org, “Delivering TSN’s benefits to manufacturing” details effective data-driven solutions that the technology can enable in order to help realise the Connected Industries of the future.

As smart manufacturing principles and applications are increasingly becoming a must in order to gain a competitive edge in a fierce and fast-paced global market, companies need access to the latest enabling technologies to support their digital journeys. The newly released white paper from the CLPA clearly showcases how TSN is perfectly suited to address digital transformation strategies, presenting the key role of this technology in driving convergence and the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT).

As discussed in the white paper, TSN increases process transparency by providing a way to merge all types of process data traffic into a single, cohesive stream. This can be more easily analysed to derive actionable insights to further optimise key operations. The result is increased uptime, productivity and product quality.
